themaniac84
InsanelyMac Family I'm going to attempt to mod a G4 Quicksilver case that I was able to get off ebay with a Intel Core Duo at 2.66, 1 HD, 1 DVD RW, an EVGA 512-A8-N501-LR GeForce 7300GT or higher PCI express card and 4 GBs of ram. I had my heart set on the Intel DP35DP motherboard but after reading a few G4 mod articles I realize the board needs top be micro atx not a full atx. Any suggestions on what board is best to mod a G4. I looked up the following but can not make up my mind 1) Intel BOXD945GCNL LGA 775 Intel 945GC (draw back is max memory is 2 GB), 2) ASUS P5L-MX LGA 775 Intel 945G or 3) ASRock CONROE1333-DVI/H LGA 775 Intel 945G> These are the few I have heard or read about but I'm open to all advice of the mobo choice. Thanks for your help theManiac84 PS How do u become a donor?
johnvalenton
Did you have any luck with this? I have a G4 Quicksilver 933 and I'm thinking of doing this mod. John Valenton johnvalenton@gmail.com
SticMAC™
I just finished a Intel D945GCLF2 in a G3 case! It was just something I wanted to play with and I had the board in the cupboard! I can really say it is a good board to use! SticMAC
