ZASX
Hi guys, I have a pentium M 1.3 ghz processor with 768 mb of ram (upgraded from 512) laptop. When I try to install the disk I get to the part when it is installing (after I skip the checking disk thing) it goes for about 5 mins and it says that there is an error writing files to the partitioned HD. Does it have to do with a currupt cd rom. The disk type im using (dvd+r), or the way im burning it or something else? Help would really be appreciated Thanks, Zasx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109027-kalaway-disk-install-help/ Share on other sites
kinkster
DVD-R is the right one, so that isn't it. In the customize options there should be a thing to tick off if your using a SSE2 processor, so you might as well re try with that. (if this is kalyway your using) Also how did you partition the drive. Balto
It's often good to do a disc check when you first use a burned disc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109027-kalaway-disk-install-help/#findComment-772806 Share on other sites

kinkster
You mean it isn't built to read -Rs or its malfunctioning? If it isn't meant to read -Rs then your probably out of luck with that drive.
