Hi,

the orig. CD/DVDs made for OS X (PPC/Intel) are not bootbable on our "macs".

But it cant be so hard to convert them .

Must be with HardDiskUtility or commandline hdutil .... into read/write ...

Then somehow change MBR for OS X86 and change kernel and maybe some .kexts.

Does anybody know how ?

The maker of DVD images like LEO4ALL, JAS, KALYWAY... must all done such an process to

get bootable OSX86 DVDs.

Thanks

I googled but found only an help for USB Stick preparation with OSX 10.4.

Mate, just where have you been??!!

This is what this forum is all about! All the Distros ARE converted Original DVDs! The prestige comes, when people like Leo4all, JAS, Kalyway etc are able to add all the needed patches to get them running an most systems

I have my own TWO DVDs, one for my HP and one for my Dell, they are original Leopard's adaptations, one with only four mods for my Dell and one with only three mods for my HP! Further they are stock!

The difficulty is not in getting it to work for ONE machine, but getting it to work for all the others out there! For this these guys should be commended, they sometimes write stuff for machines older than themselves and mahines they have never heard of! ;)
