Keithito
So, I have tried multiple times to install Leopard, I've partitioned my drive correctly, and I've gotten past the disc check, and on to the installation. The problem is, every time I try, at around 4 minutes left (according to the progress bar) it stops. The blue bar stops moving, the time stays the same, and I cannot click on anything on the toolbar (I can still move my mouse, but that's it) I was told that I simply needed to wait, but I have waited upwards of four hours this last time, and the bar still didn't move. I am installing it to a seperate FAT32 partition that I have made, and I have another partition running my current windows XP installation, which is fine. Any help on the topic is greatly appreciated. I really don't think that I need to wait any longer though, as I doubt it should take more than 4 hours. Thanks! Keithito
Okay, I tried this again, and again, after a 5 hour wait, was forced to reboot. This time I had to delete the partition that I had made for OSX manually from the Windows Recovery Console, and then re-write the MBR in order to get back into windows. Does anybody have any idea at all why this is happening? I've burned multiple copies of the DVD, and it gets through the disc verification just fine, so I doubt that's the problem, but could that be it? Keithito
So, still nothing, made a new disc and tried again, exact same result. Freezes at 4minutes left in the installation. Seriously, any response would be great, even a simple "nope, we have no idea!" would help, because at the very least I would stop checking back here every couple of hours.
