bandit614 Posted June 4, 2008 Share Posted June 4, 2008 I installed perfectly, with Vanilla/The Fix using kalyways 10.5.1 release. After the initial reboot, entering information, etc, I did a restart. Now, I hang at a light-blueish screen with a moveable mouse cursor, that alternates between a totally black screen with a white square cursor at the top left. I can't boot with -x, -v, -f. -s will boot to prompt. system: Gigabyte ds3l Core2Duo 8400 Nvidia 8600GT 2x WD SATA Hard Drives SATA DVD Burner 4gb RAM (AHCI on, IDE off) Any help? Then I tried a different package (kaly's combo update). same error. So every .pkg i try gives me a failed Validation. I've seen a LOT of topics about this problem so I'm hoping more people will read this.
