desau13 Posted March 3, 2006 Share Posted March 3, 2006 I've got an ati rage mobility 9600 in my laptop -- 10.4.5 works great with it, running at 1600x1200 with QE. In Windows/Linux I can use the external display to make dual-head (xinerama). Is this possible in OSX? I can mirror in vesa 2.0 on my 9200, no spanning possible without proper ATI drivers working on my setup..... If I go to "Displays", it only lists 1600x1200 for the main screen. omni Posted March 4, 2006 Share Posted March 4, 2006 I would not confuse loading of ATI IOAccelerator driver (ATIRadeon9xxx.kext) with loading of the actual IONDRVFramebuffer driver for ATI (ATINDRV). Did you modify or patch anything... my screen goes black if I try to load any AtiRadeon or AtiRadeon9700 kext... I'm OT but please... help me!!!
