Cyrus85
Hi i was just wondering if anyone out there has installed osx on a abit ic7-g mobo with built-in intel pro 1000 ct lan and gotten it to work. I installed 10.4.3 first and found that the built-in ethernet is found in the network tab of osx but is greyed out. I have been on the comptability list in the osx wiki and found that it is supported. I dont know if this is a typo on there or not but if anyone has this mobo and has had luck with it working i would appreciate it if you can tell me how u got it to work. please post soon thanks OSX = / osx w/o internet = P4 3.0ghz see2 Abit ic7-g (sata/PRO 1000 ct, onboard sound) ATI 9800pro 1gig crosshair value ram curenttly dualbooting XP pro, OSx 10.4.3 & 10.4.

asstastic
I've got an ic7-G and haven't had any problems with networking either in vmware or booting native. I'm running 10.4.3 atm since I don't have a copy of the 10.4.5 DVD yet. Everything else works fine as well except the added Silicon Image SATA and some minor sound stuttering but I expect that's due to the SSE emulation speed issues. I think my network adapter might have been greyed out the first time I booted as well but after messing around with the Network Preferences and a kextcache clear I got it working. Unfortunately I don't remember the exact procedure but I remember it wasn't too difficult.
steve_acp
Your lucky you got to that far, my ic7 g is rock solid in windows, but crashes when trying to install off the patched 10.4.3 dvd. What technique did you use? I am running well on an Acer aspire 3610 laptop (albeit external monitor at the moment), and a fujitsu lifebook 1020. Can wait to set up my company Dell D600, and hand it in to MIS saying "somethings changed with my set up, can you get it back". :-)
