Jaw3000
Yesterday, I could select WinXP under the Darwin boot loader and successfully load XP, but today, it's not working. I'm only getting a "/" with a blinking curser. I'm using Darwin/X86 boot v5.0.132. The only thing that's different about my config today vs. yesterday is that I ran the "update" command in the Darwin bootloader after installing the Kalyway 10.5.3 update. I'm assuming this changed some settings, and is causing Darwin to no longer boot XP. Vista will boot fine, however (I just can't boot XP from the Vista bootloader - that's a different whole problem though). Is there anyway to fix this within the Darwin bootloader (such as editing the menu.1st files for Grub) without having to reinstall either OS X or wiping the MBR and replacing it with the XP or Vista bootloaders? I really don't want to have to mess with reinstalling OS's or MBR's. Thanks for your help! My disk configuration (120GB HD): hd1,0: Win XP hd1,1: Win Vista hd1,2: OS X (Active) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108381-fixing-darwin-xp-boot/ Share on other sites
