omissis
Hi guys, today I bought a Creative Xmod , an USB Audio Card(with declared mac compatibility), I plugged it in and it was recognized: the problem is that audio is fuzzy and there's a lot of noise(almost _just_ noise). I tried to install SoundBlaster USB Audio support but things got even worse: now I only see input, output is no longer available(but it should be due to wrong drivers I installed). Does anyone has a suggestion? EDIT: Of course I did Permission Repair after the install EDIT 2: I also found this piece of {censored} from creative site, but it crashes after three or four bumps: it should be a firmware upgrade, I'm gonna test it under winXP. EDIT 3: I tested it under Win XP and it works perfectly, so the device is ok Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108189-creative-xmod-issue/ Share on other sites
Apple Freak
Huh, I use Creative Xmod as well, but didn't experience any problem at all! I think you should check your USB card instead. But try this: plug the device in and restart you computer! Nothing to do: the device works under xp on another machine, under ubuntu on the same machine and under osx(hackintosh) on my pc in the office. I'm astonished. :/ Thank you anyway Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108189-creative-xmod-issue/#findComment-769844 Share on other sites
i.1
Hi! I had almost the same problem with my Xmod! I have 10.5.2 Kalyway updated to 10.5.4 on Vanilla Kernel. I found out that the problem was with kernel - it has some problems with getting the FSB frequency right. I used Chamelion patch and everything came to normal! gustl
hi!!! lol :-) i got a real mac! a mbp 3.1 and got the same problem ... but only when i use low latency in virtualdj. so in any other app the sound is great but i can't uns this card with virtualdj. and i think the problem exsists since the update to 10.5.6 ... very strange. maybe i should install osx again or so^^ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108189-creative-xmod-issue/#findComment-1018592 Share on other sites
