TrYp MyNe Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 So yea, leopard ran great, but the touchpad and keyboard both stopped after first boot, they worked to setup and even worked inside the os only for the first boot. after that, they stopped working. but if u can help with that im open for it.anyway, i used the leo4all v2 disk to install. that part worked. but, b4 the install, i resized the partition of a vista 32bit install and took the remainder of it and made a mac partition. i didn't test the vista boot b4 i installed leopard. so leo installed, but vista will no longer boot. the partition is there and files are intact but i cant fix the bootloader for vista and it will no longer boot. what can i do??? btw i used acronis disk director to resize and did it with hiren's boot cd. thnx in advancehelp? pleeeeez Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108011-dell-m1530-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
bobonov Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 What error message(s) are you getting? The solution can vary depending on what you are seeing when you try to boot into windows. It's hard to say without knowing exactly what your problem is, but you might may try changing your MBR to boot the windows partition, or going and editing boot.ini and making it at least load into windows. Are you using Mac OS to boot into Windows through Darwin, or are you using Windows and boot.ini and chain0 to boot into Mac OS X? Also about the touchpad / keyboard, I'm getting that with Kalyway 1.5.2 updated to 1.5.3 but haven't spent enough time to troubleshoot it yet. Are you on 1.5.2 or 1.5.3? I have an E1705 and used Kalyway 1.5.2, and have a friend with an XPS M1330 that wouldn't even boot into Kalyway but iAtkos 1.5.2 installed flawlessly.
