starkruzr Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Safari works great, but I can't get Firefox 3.0 RC1 to start up. The weird part is that it was working last night. Here is my setup: E6750 2GB RAM Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi-AP motherboard 160GB HD in AHCI mode in BIOS PNY Verto GF7900 w/256MB RAM Two IDE DVD drives (one is a burner, but apparently cannot be seen in System Profiler, it just beachballs when I go to "disc burning") I installed the AppleAzaleaAudio kext to get my audio working correctly. It just seems to get into this state where nothing wants to start up. I am now noticing that iTunes won't start either -- it stops bouncing, but never appears. Help? EDIT: OK, I restarted, and everything is fine now. But I recall having this same experience with Kalyway 10.5.2 and that the system eventually got to the point where I couldn't start anything even after a reboot. What happens over time that gradually causes the machine to become unstable? Note that I have not installed any updates. I've talked to several others who have the same problem, on multiple distributions (Kalyway, iAtkos, uphuck).
