Rammjet
Did you use the 10.4.7 update in Software Update? If so, you can't do that, you just hosed your installation and will have to reinstall. Just like the installation of OSX has to be patched, you have to install a patched 10.4.7 which you find in the "usual" places. borrell
Well that explains a lot of things - like why I'm installing OSX the 10th time now, LOL... But like I said before - This whole "Mac on PC thing" is not very mainstream... Anyways - I'm currently running 10.4.6 and I'm still outta sound, and the gfx is acting kinda strange. It leaves like traces from mouse and windows if I use the scroll mouse button. I think my card is ATI X200 - Does that sound right... I wish someone would make a complete OSX DVD for all Intel G945 people with sound and LAN... Strike that - I wish Apple would release OSX86 as a OS to compete with Windoze...Then I wouldn't mind paying for it... alexmanmac
Hi everyone, after one day configuring my "hackintosh" I've been able to enable network!, and all thanks to forcer for the info.plist, borrel for not giving up, and the rest of the guys that helped us, directly or indirectly, I should note that I followed borrel steps above plus erasing the extensions cache (sudo rm /System/Libraries/Extensions.*) just before repairing permissions, and it worked!, next step is getting sound to work . Intel D945GTP mobo LAN: 10/100 Mbits/sec LAN subsystem using the Intel® 82562GX/82562GZ Video: Intel® GMA 950 onboard graphics Sound: 6-channel (5.1) audio subsystem with three analog audio outputs using the Sigmatel 9220* audio codec Pentium 4 HT 512 MB DDR PATA HD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10782-intel-d945gtpl-no-network-please-help/page/2/#findComment-214210 Share on other sites
guacamole
Okay - I found a way to get my LAN to work: Perhaps a combined guide could be made to make audio/LAN work on the Intel 945 board... The following will enable 100mbit intel networking on 945G boards: 1. Get attached "info.zip" file. 2. Unzip, and put "Info.plist" in "/Users/Yourusername/" (your user directory) 3. Open Terminal and type: sudo -s cd /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleIntel8255x.kext/Contents/ rm Info.plist mv ~/Info.plist . chmod 755 Info.plist 4. Open "Disk Utility" and repair disk permissions 5. Reboot ---------- Edit: After trying to download and upgrade OS X, it crashed and won't startup again - "Kernal Panic". Which OSX torrent build are you guys using? I installed the "MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso" I did everything written here but just after I type the "chmod 755 Info.plist" command i get: "no such file or directory" What am I doing Wrong? I own an pentium D920 witha 945gtp intel board, lan not working.... I have never used Mac in my life and im only a basic pc user, can you help me? could you give me dumb directions? THNX Oh I forgot to mention, I have JAS 10.4.8 version Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10782-intel-d945gtpl-no-network-please-help/page/2/#findComment-237696 Share on other sites
