adamsweeting
Hi guys... Quick question: I am looking to buy a new motherboard to support a Core2Quad processor, and I want to be able to run the Vanilla kernel. What chipset should I be looking for? ICH8 / ICH9? I had seen this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131173 Would that be a good choice? mumford
Stick with IP35 chipset. Your board has the IP35 chipset, although this is not a recommendation for using that board, just the IP35 chipset, as I have no experience with that board.
