Hey guys. I installed 10.5.3, replaced all kexts and replaced kernel.

NVDAresman gives me some display error, preventing a boot. I am using natit and NVIDIA 7800GT, all the drivers have my device ID inputted.

Is there a new SMBIOS or kernel for AMD I need?

First, I really recommend using the GFX string

Second, the update overwrites the geforce kexts so you have to reinstall (same as if you were doing a new install)

Delete NVDAResman and Geforce kexts on boot (look around for instructions)

After that you should be booting into VESA mode (low res, no CI/QE) and then you can reinstall the drivers.

A Kernel or SMBIOS will not fix this bud :)

GFX string is the way to go, I dont have to edit the Geforce kexts nor did the 10.5.3 update break it.

Good luck and post back with update or if you still need help.

Thats the thing, I replaced the ENTIRE extensions folder to use my old KEXTS, and still no boot.

Ouch, dont do that again lol. Only replace what is necessary cause now you are running 10.5.2 mixed with 10.5.3. Please post details in your signature (do it right away)

Are you running vanilla or Modded install (Leo4all, Kalyway, etc)

Still remove NVDAResman m8, otherwise you will never boot.

Good luck and post back with update!
