lkl Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Hi all, Ok, my 10.4.4 is rock'n rollin : The network card works with a modified kext. The sound is ok, even if only SPDIF, but I find that iTUNES sounds a lot better than winamp on XP. well, now, in order to really use all of this, I need a graphic card, as my 5700LE is not supported for now. So, I've read carefully the HLC on the wiki, but I can't manage to choose the perfect card. It has to be AGP8X. I wanted to know which ATI card was the best (QE/CI/OpenGL support, of course) : 9600 pro 9600 XT 9800 ? another model maybe ? hobolooter Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT it has full Q/E and CL graphics, however you CANNOT change the resolution. I've used com.apple.Boot.plist and nothing so far has worked. However, while I was looking for an answer all over the web (I spent almost all my afternoon ^^), I found that 9700 Pro was also a good mix of power (for win games) and osx86-compatibility. So, I've chosen to take this one. On the one hand, if comments are rights, it will provide full QE+CI support, but it will also be more powerfull than my not-so-old Palit Geforce 5700VE (=LE).
