lampslide
Hello! I just "successfully" installed the Kalyway 10.5.1 system on my Gateway 500GR. Upon boot, networking worked right away but sound did not. I installed the Azalia audio package and the sound worked after the reboot but my network card no longer functioned. When I remove the audio kexts, the networking works again, and whenever I reinstall them, networking goes back out. My sound is "Intel® High Definition Audio subsystem using the Realtek ALC860 audio codec" and my networking is "10/100 Mbits/sec LAN subsystem using the Intel® 82562EZ Platform LAN Connect (PLC) device." My motherboard is "Intel® 915G Chipset, consisting of: Intel® 82915G Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH); Intel® 82801FB I/O Controller Hub (ICH6); 4-Mbit Firmware Hub (FWH)." Does anybody have a recommendation on how I get both working simultaneously? I've yet to try installing audio and then networking, but since networking worked immediately, I'm afraid I'll end up screwing something up permanently. Thanks for any help!
