Hey guys.

The question is in the title. If one wants to buy a 5.1 usb sound card, what do you guys think it's better to choose? and most of all, which one is 1000% compatible and works 5.1 under MAC? I'd like to buy (a very cheap) one and I don't want to be disappointed after I plug it in! :)

Have a great day everybody! :pirate2:

the turtle beach audio advantage micro works off the bat with OSx86, just plug it in and its instantly recognized. it can use 5.1 in windows, but im not so sure if the mac driver supports that function. it has optical out too, if you want to connect it to your stereo system. one of the greatest things about this is that its amplified, and can get really loud. (even with cheapy speakers)

Thank you. But my only problem is that I need a *working* 5.1 system under MAC. I already have pre-amplified speakers that work really well and have a remote control with the volume, but once I get to use *only* the MAC partition, I don't want to get a "normal" audio, since I am spoiled with a super one! :(

So please, I renew the question: does anybody know for sure a sound card which works 5.1 under mac?
