MagicWTF
Okay the OS has booted well before in this computer and almost everything worked. I installed iAKTOS v1.0i and after a bit of fidgetting with my BIOS got it to fully boot and was lucky enough to get full video and sound, I moved some of my files off an ipod in and then left for work. when I got home I had a black screen from what I expect was macosx going to sleep and none of the buttons I could think of woke it up so I did a hard reset, now whenever I try and boot into mac os x it simply goes to that screen (the black one as if my monitor is off). here are my specs: 149gb hdd 1018mb of ram 2.00 ghz intel coreduo proc. intel GMA 950 chipset Model: Toshiba Satellite A200 networking turned off (hadn't set it up yet) any ideas? someone please help, I need to get at at a school project I have in there (is currently using Ubuntu) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106876-booting-to-black-screen/ Share on other sites
MagicWTF
okay, tried to reinstall and now not even the Darwin boot loader comes up =/ I just reinstalled vista so I have something to use until I can get this working. I have no idea what I did wrong, it worked for a while >.< so I know it;s not the distribution, there's also reports of the same laptop as I use being very good for this. someone please help. sorry if I sound like a bit of a noob but I'm not very experienced in the UNIX environment... I heard about iAKTOS 2.0 anyone know where to find it, if so email me at cmdamarao@gmail.com (can we post direct links on this forum? or is it a copyright issue?) ps. searching was of little aid as the problems similar to this (black screens and Darwin not showing etc.) but didn't get anything very similar to mine, if someone could even provide a link to something similar I'd be very grateful.
