iATKOS 2.0i Installation Lockup

specs;

32bit Vista BUISNESS

AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+

2.0 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT

TWO 186gig harddrives, one with the Vista installation, the other is unallocated.

 

problem;

i have a DVD burned with iATKOS 2.0i iso on it and attempt to boot from CD. after the MAC logo opens up with the grey screen, it sits still until i am forced to reboot the machine. during this time, the harddrive is never hit, and eventually the disk stops spinning.

 

i run it -v, and it it comes out saying mounted device is read-only. i tried using GParted to partition the second drive (fat32), turn the flags off for the first drive (with Vista on it) and set the newly partitioned drive to flag 'boot', but still same problem.

 

any insight at all? i think there may be a problem with my drives, but i'm not sure how to exactly install it.

the read only message is regarding the DVD you are mounting, this is not an error try to find a line with panic and then copy the lines previous to it here, also try to find the line: "Still waiting for root device",

and report back.
