mabix
hi guys im a newbie to all of this so yeah i've got a HP PAvillion zd8000 (3.06P4, 2GB RAM, X600 128MB) I downloaded Kalaway OSX86 10.5.1, and burnt the ISO- the installer verified the disk before installation and said it was all good the bar goes to the end and then says it cant install for an unknown reason I looked in the Installer logs and it says that it cant delete Installbasesystem dot something a rather (im trying to reinstall now) Ive tried doing it with both a GUID and MBR (kalaway said i could do both) and same result I suppose this means that the bootloader doesnt get written? because when i try to boot with the dvd in it says the it cant find a certain file? is there anyway after it says installation fails to finish it off manually in terminal? or at least write something to get it to boot? Thanks~~ much appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106699-help-cant-install-osx86-kalaway-1051/ Share on other sites
mabix
well i got it installing but I think ive screwed the computer T_T after it said restart, once you rebooted, the computer would show the hp logo then flick to a black screen with full HD activity so i restarted with the cd in, it showed the apple logo, and then would restart i followed instructions about booting in safe mode and now when i try to boot off the kalaway dvd it just hangs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106699-help-cant-install-osx86-kalaway-1051/#findComment-757814 Share on other sites
