Hey everyone,

I have been trying to use the Kalyway 10.5.2 Disc to load OSX on my IBM T42. I am getting through the boot process flawlessly and getting to the install. However, the install has been hanging at random points during the install. It has hung at anywhere from 1hour and 10minutes left to 9 minutes left. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried different packages and combinations of packages with no sucess. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Kind of a late response, but better than never!

My T42 had NO Issues installing Kalyway 10.5.2.

Just make sure that you format the hard drive, create 1 partition, and set that to boot as GUID or whatever... (Haven't seen that screen in a while! MBR caused problems.)

I only selected the SSE2 option under the customization before the installation started.

It takes forever to load and restart, my wireless card didn't work, and I couldn't get my Radeon 9600 to use Quartz Extreme, so the interface was horribly slow!

What are you setting up during the installation? Let us know!

Hey,

I installed it onto my T42 and the install went fine. What i did to mine was set it to all of the defaults and then i ticked the CPU support. It installed rebooted and left me hanging on the white apple screen. I shut it down and booted it back up and selected the option to boot it a different way. In the boot command i typed '-v -x' then it booted just fine, takes a little while so just leave it. The only problems i have with it is that the audio doesn't work but i am working on that at the min anyway
