SampsonSimpson
ok ive been tryiing to get this to work for two weeks now. ive searched and searched and searched so please dont flame me for asking this Q in a new topic. I have gotten to the gray appe screen a couple times but never past that. Just freezes for many many hours. booting from DVD, HDD whatever....... I just wanted to know if its possible to do this(boot any Mac os) with a revision "d" or earlier cpu? AMD atthlon 64 3400+ clawhammer(when i use cpu-z it says its SSE2 compatible) i dont get it. ive tried the application that scans your cpu and tells you if it is 64 bit compatible and it said no. but im hoping theres just something im missing. I just upgraded to this cpu ( 100 bucks on ebay) a couple of weeks ago, then i found this and im kind of bumming thinking that i have to get "anther one" am i done? is it not possible? am i screwed. is there a hack......? if this just wont work........what amd 754 in processor would you reccommend (i cant figure out how to tell if the one im gonna buy is revision "d" or later) and yes ive checked the HCL. just looking for some more info. any ways thankyou very much for helping in any way. Im thankful such a cool place exists to learn new things.
