Hello guys:

Need some help her. I'm about to buy a HP notebook. It's from the dv2000 series and it has a Intel dual core processor. I wanted to know if it's possible to install OSX in this machine and make it fully functional (including sound, wifi, etc).

thanks in advance

Sebastian

What distro are you using?

For installation i used Leo4all v2

- make sure you burn your image on a low speed to DVD, it sounds crazy but it improves your install.

when ready to install, I customized the installation

- I used the default kernel

- nvidia graphics (go and nvinject)

- I removed the extra languages and fonts

To use Wifi i bought myself a RTL8781L usb adaptorthe camera, Bluetooth and ethernet worked out of the box

It took me five or six install's to determine the best options

Good luck!

I get some PM's about getting the webcam to work, what you guys should try is to install the webcam firmware update posted on the HP website. For my laptop (dv2085) it is this webcam firmware update (please note that this is a Vista update)http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...6131&dlc=enYou could also try the bios updateDisclaimer:upgrading firmware shouldn't be dangerous when you read the instructions carefullyDon't hold me responsible for any damage or failures.Update!I have Leopard 10.5.2 running on my dv2085works:- usb- webcam- audio - nvidia (has to be installed in setup)- touchpad- Bluetooth (Updated! after reinstall does work)doesn't work- wifi (intel 3945abg)- power managementgoodluck!
