Safari
After I upgrade my system to 10.4.5 from 10.4.3, i noticed several things. 1. The System profiler tells me that I've got a 4GHz P4 processor (it was 2.99 GHz P4 in 10.4.3) 2. the computer seemed slightly slower 3. can't get photocasting to work 4. Xbench benchmark was around 65 in 10.4.3, but dropped to 23 in 10.4.5 (I had to enable Quartz 2D extreme to get the benchmark back to around 65) There's also no Front row in .4.5 Can anyone tell me what went wrong? I thought a new version would bring better, fast operation system. By the way, is there a way to get the screenresolution to 1280*1024 with ATI X300? It annoys me everytime I had to put up with 1024*768 on a 19 inch monitor. Brywalker
Nothing went wrong at all. These are all side effects of the hacked 10.4.5 (I suspect by not using the 10.4.5 kernel). I went back to 10.4.4.
