adrian mak
I managed to work 9600 GSO 384 MB with following configuration: A64 3500+ K8T890 chipset Zephyroth 10.5.2 I had MANY problems with it, but finally, following method works for me... GFX Strings method didn't work unfortunately ( card was recognized properly, resolutions etc, but no hardware acceleration ( I still don't know why ) ) - Install Leopard Graphics Pack ( just for case ) - Install 9800GTX drivers ( We should fix "white menus" problem, this will do it ) 9600 GSO have also G92 core - Install NVinstaller.V.52 ( It will work since we have 10.5.4 gfx kexts from 9800GTX driver ) - check your RAM size ( 320 MB for 384 MB cards, i think it could be fixed later in Info.plist at NVinject.kext ) - Fix cpuids with Marvin AMD Utility ( expecially in OpenGL.framework ) to fix crashes with OpenGL apps. - Repair permissions, reload kext cache etc. etc... Reboot and cross your fingers ! Where to download the leopard graphics pack? Apple official release ? But I cannot find it download from Apple website Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106156-9600gso-on-leopard/page/2/#findComment-959444 Share on other sites

rob00
I got the EVGA 9600 GSO 768MB DDR2 on my hackintosh 10.6.4 that is not working at all (currently working with a 9500GT). I can't get passed the gray boot screen with the apple logo and the rotating busy loge, i.e., the desktop will not load and i only get a black screen. Has anyone found a solution? I read all the posts and it seem like many of you have, but I could not understand the solution, or the solutions were too complicated for me to understand. I am fairly new to the hackintosh business, and I am so frustrated that I can not upgrade my video card from my 9500GT to the 9600 GSO. I tried rebuidfing cache and repairing permission after adding NVinject.kext, Natit.kext, NVEnabler.kext, NVEnabler 64.kext, and Uinstaller "Apply EFI string for video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS 284MB" and 8800GTX 768MB (since my card had 768MB). none of these worked. Thanks for any help you can give me. Robert. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106156-9600gso-on-leopard/page/2/#findComment-1544621 Share on other sites
