xoc Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 I can't get sound working at all on my Asus P5K Pro motherboard. I selected the ALC883 kext during the Kalyway 10.5.2 install, but there are no sound devices available in my System Preferences. I found Taruga's instructions, got my codec#0 file via Ubuntu and dropped it onto his AppleHDApatcher1.20, but it doesn't do anything AFAICT. (btw - his site has been down for the last day or so) Admittedly, I'm a complete OSX noob (let alone OSX86), so maybe I have misunderstood the instructions. After all, my mind has been warped and shrivelled by years of Windows abuse. Can anyone help me out? I want my Hackintosh to sing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
