semi succesful weird dual boot xp and os x 10.5.2

specs: asus p5k, 2.66 intel core 2 duo, gforce 8600 gts - and this darned Jmicron sata controller which i know some of you out there knows

 

kalyway 10.5.2 used for installation.

 

installation of osx went fine but after the 1st reboot couldn't boot anything, used gparted to make windows bootable again and hit the forums. found something about crossflashing the p5k with the p5kr BIOS. i did that and reinstalled. still the same, at this point i was rather frustrated so i flashed the newest version of the p5k bios back. after this my osx boots (although when i choose osx in the bootloader i also have to choose what partition my osx is on before it loads) and i got the attansic L1 network working with the driver from the HCL. (and this is also from my osx i am posting this now )

 

its running great now, and succesfully installed my emu 0404 audio interface, and several other apps. (edit: macfuse running and able to read and write my windows partition! that is more than awesome)

 

 

but things still not working is:

 

firewire - it detects it but unknown device, any thoughts on what to do?

 

ethernet in windows - this i find very funny, it reports to be fine, but there is no connection. After i repair the connection it gets limited or no connectivity.

 

this isnt a problem for me as i probably just get another ethernet card but plugged into the firewire is my external harddrive which holds almost all of my everyday and work related files.

 

 

in the end i am satisfied with the result and i am already saving cash for the "build a macpro" post i found somewhere online but if any of you have any idea on how to solve any of these problems i would be more than grateful
