alberto
Sup people? I've got an acer Aspire 1362LMI laptop, but none of the usb devices seem to work (optical mouse, external harddisk). When i go to system information, it detects 4 USB ports. I've got an VIA chipset, could that be the case? Anyone who has the same problem as me? Peace, Alberto Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1060-usb-doesnt-work/ Share on other sites

Peace, Alberto <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the same with my athlon desctop. In -v modus starting it finds USB ports/drives but then occures some error and can not mount in GUI Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1060-usb-doesnt-work/#findComment-6386 Share on other sites
Blackice
I had that problem (and it was a big problem, too, conisdering my USB keyboard and mouse!). Try using the -s option to remove the Apple ACPI extensions. (You may need to use the command mount -a -w first) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1060-usb-doesnt-work/#findComment-6565 Share on other sites
wangii
I had that problem before applying the patch from Maxxuss (Thank you, buddy!) If you didn't apply it yet, give it a go.
