Kimari
I've had Kalyway 10.5.2 installed on a GUID drive for the last 3 weeks and haven't run into any problems. Until yesterday. Now, when I shut down, it shuts down normally, and when I think all is well, a few seconds later my computer boots up again. It's definitely different from a restart, as when I do that my computer lights/fans don't turn off and it's immediate upon shutting down. Here everything turns off and it boots up after a bit. Only way to stop the cycle is to cut off the power. The only the thing that changed before it happened was that I installed iLife 08. Perhaps updating it through the software updater did something? I don't know. Any help would be great. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105995-suddenly-my-1052-system-wont-stay-shut-down/ Share on other sites
spone
I have seen it happen on some P4 windows boxes as well. It doesn't directly relate to OSX I think, but it's more of a bios issue. Never seen it really fixed though, but eventually it will go away.
