Wolverine5 Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 I have Asrock MB ConroeXFIRE-eSATA2 with C2D E6300 cpu. I have DVD drive SATA + 4 Hardrives. What problem I have that after I press F8 and type -v installer loads but at some point HD turn off and turn on later ( at the unix type scree before Graphic installer loads in). What is strange I only have that problem with 2 MAXTOR HardDrives (DiamondPlus 120GB SATA and Maxtor D740X-6L 60GB PATA). Only those HD will turn off (just after Firewire detection)and turn on at the end. Problem is Installer wont see those HD later when I choose where to install, and looks like I have to reinstall my windowx XP becouse I cant start it (proly something with this turning off) Other hardrives (hitachi, seagate SATA) works fine. I tried to load vanilla kernel, typed vanilla after pressing F8 but nothing happens, I get screen caunting from 8 to 0 where I press F8. Dunno why.
