I get the error message, [iO/PROM] <Error> can't open boot file when trying to run in Pear PC VERSION 0.3.1.

PearPC is a PowerPC processor emulator, and doesn't run from your Intel/AMD dvd image. You need a PowerPC based Mac OSX DVD or set of CD's to get started.
