UltimateKylie
I wanted to say thanx to the community for all their support. Having difficulty on other PC, (SiS ATA) I decided to risk installing on my main desktop to dual boot with Vista and I've got it working. Leo4Allv2 Motherboard: MachSpeed MSNV-939 Chipset : nVidia nForce4 Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 2.0 GHZ Memory : 3GB DDR 400mhz Network: nForce4 Graphics : 8400GS XFX 256MB HDD is an old Seagate 18.6 GB IDE PATA I put in (so I wouldn't have to partition any existing hard drives). I currently use bios to select which drive to boot but will do a more permanent solution later. DVD is Nec ND-3550A IDE PATA I also have an LG Blu-ray/HD DVD SATA Drive. What didn't work at first was graphics, the SATA DVD Drive, and Samba or Windows Network Shared. For the graphics I edited the NVCAP into NVinject and got it to start on DVI. Next I noticed the SATA DVD Drive would not mount so I downloaded and installed the test ApplenForceATA.kext in its thread and reboot and it worked. Then I downloaded ShareFix which installed something to fix Samba or the networks maps or something and I can now browse my WHS and other Windows PCs. bobbylx
Hello there, I've got a quick question for you. I'm having problems accessing Windows shares also, on my Server 2k3 and on Vista machines. Where did you get Sharefix from? I've googled it and found one that looks like it is for Windows machines, is this the correct one? If so, I run it on my windows boxes and it fixes the share problems? Thanks
