Everything is running except when I try to use my firewire interface (MOTU 896HD) to listen to music. I get digital dropouts and stuttering. I'm thinking it's the mobo but can't confirm. I even tried a separate pcie firewire card, but the computer doesn't see it. Any thoughts? No firewire recording is a dealbreaker for me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
OftheSeven Posted May 21, 2008 Author Share Posted May 21, 2008 OK, I installed a $20 pci firewire card and it kind of works (external drives show up on desktop without restarting and transfer data). My 896HD "works" plays music, but causes cpu spikes in my daw (DP5.13). My mobo firewire is definitely buggy.
