After months of trying i finally got leopard installed, i tried a bunch of other installs that would install but not boot, {censored} like that. Finally got kalyway installed, it boots up, shows me the little leopard opening video sound and everything works. Then when i start updating the system when i get to the transfer settings screen no matter what i choose the system sill sit there for a minute then it just goes back to the opening video and starts the process again. Heard someone mention disabling ethernet on the mobo, didnt work, unhooked my wireless card as well and reinstalled still nothing.

Specs:

Compaq sr5152nx desktop pc

asus m2n68-la mobo (mcp 61 based)

Dlink dwl-g520, atheros based wifi (168c,13)

AMD athlon 64 x2 4000+

2gb ram

250gb sata hdd

80gb ide hdd

sata dvd burner

ide dvd burner

geforce 8600gt

leo is installed on the ide drive and install would only work if i used the ide dvd drive as well.

ok well i found a way to fix this problem at startup go to boot options then type

boot: -f -v -s (enter)

(wait for bash screen)

/sbin/mount -uw /

passwd

(type your password, twice)

touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

exit

Now i have a new problem though, with leo4all v3 i install, no wireless or network support even though i installed the kexts from the installer. So i go in edit the atheros kext to add my hardware id, then it still doesnt work, however i install a forcedeth package that i found. At that point it popped up saying new network device, but it was the wireless card it found, it still doesnt detect the built in ethernet (doesnt bother me since i dont use it). So i thought all was good, full video sound and wireless. Then after about 30 minutes or so i notice the system starts slowing down, then just locks up completely, i do a hard reboot and it wont even boot anymore. On boot i get ther error "/dev/fsevents filter fai;ed (bad file descriptor)" and it happens right around the time when my wireless card is found and it shows all the channels.

Now on kalyway i cant even get this far because for some reason the kext filename is in red, idk if that means it has errors or what. tried adding in the device id and everything i did to get it working on leo4all but nothing. Any idea on how to fix this fsevents thing?
