lockar
I am hoping that me asking for help on installing Mac OS X86 is allowed. Here is the problem I have. I have a built machine with a Celeron D 2.8ghz 512mb RAM SiS chipset. With Pioneer 504 DVD-RW. (Does this machine suppport SSE2 or SSE3? I'm a newbe when it comes to PCs, I'm a Mac user.) I have Mac OS X86 10.4.3 (not sure which build though) I also have Mac OS X86 10.4.4 restore DVD. I'm very confused what patches I need to install. I tried to install some of the patches to the 10.4.3 iso, but all I get is a kernal panic after the Apple logo screen comes up. I also tried the intel patch on the 10.4.4 restore DVD (This was done on my Mac). It starts to boot then it just sits there saying "looking for root device" I have tried safe mode on both installs and get the same resuilts. What am I doing wrong? I have backups of each installs so I could go back and do mods all over again if needed. -Lockar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10546-help-installing-mac-os-x86-please/ Share on other sites
