mochiware Posted May 17, 2008 Share Posted May 17, 2008 Hi all, I just finished installing Zephyr 10.5.2 and everything works (pretty stoked as this is my first time on a OSx86 machine)! However for some reason I cannot connect to other PC/Mac to access share drives. They show up on my left hand sidebar but when I click on "Connect as", it loops and then fails to connect. I tried "smb://servername" without success either. I have access to the internet and iTunes share works without problems. I am just having problems sharing files between these systems. Any help is appreciated. I've searched online but haven't found a solution yet. earlboy Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 I have the same problem. But it only happens when I'm using a standard user. Admin users can access the smb shares just fine. As standard user, Internet and Itunes share works, except for smb and afp shares. Tried fixes for smb shares floating around but the problem still persist. Proc : AMD Athlon64 X2 4600+ Mobo : MSI K8N SLI-F ( NForce 4 chipset ) Video : Gainward 6600 GTS x 2 LAN : TP-Link ( Realtek 8139D chipset ) not using the built in lan of my mobo as it has too many problems.
