Mr.Floppy
Hey Guys, my problem: The combination of my mainboard, my graphiccard and(!) osx seems to have some problems. Don't know why, unter windows and linux everything works finde. About 10 hours 3dmark and everything else cannot reproduce grapical errors, so i dont think thats a hardware issue. memtest86 cannot find any errors. But under OSX (leo or tiger doesnt matter) there are almost always annoying graphic errors - horizontal stripes (see attachment). So i think OSX overclocks the graphic memory. Perhaps its a buggy VGA-BIOS or something, that the card is not working with the right clocking rates under OSX. Is there any possibility to figure out the clocking rates of the GPU and the memory? I think it would be best to underclock the card. I tried to use nvinject 0.1.3 till 0.2.1. The NVCAP Value is correctly registered to the plist.info-file, but nothing helped so far. my specs are: Asrock DUAL SATA2 S939 Athlon 64 (newest BIOS) Sparkle GeForce 6600GT PCIe (newest BIOS - from 2004 or something^^) no CPU overclocking, tried out to set the PCIe-clock to 90 instead of 100MHz - doesn't work Thanks in advance and sorry because of my foul english Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105246-underclocking-geforce-6600gt-pcie/ Share on other sites
goodl
Use Nibitor to underclock (Windows only) http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Video-T...OS-Editor.shtml But I suspect the corruption is not a heat issue, good luck!
