there are several reasons for download to stop unexpectedly:

1. line is to slow or many collisions/ber (errors on the line).

2. the remote site disconnected you (did you try other sites how many test you made?)

3. your downloading application had no response from the site and timed-out

4. if you are using wifi test for reception problems

5. something wrong with the network setup of your computer (routing, dns, etc)

in order to pinpoint your problem you need to test each of these possibilities.

1. i would start with downloading different sizes of files and different locations on the net, if the problem remains then it is the site fault (it happens).

2. next i would check from other OS i use on the same comuter (as long as you are using the same nic and isp and definitions) if the problem solved then it means something is wrong with the the OS (if this is the case write back and i will continue suggestions)

3. next i would use other computers in the house or change from wifi to cable (maybe problem in the wifi router) (if the problem solved then check wifi nic/router or computer nic)

4. lastly check your ISP connectivity, do speed test online using these links (do a couple of them so you have good statistics), also use the command tracert from cmd windows or traceroute from terminal from mac

speed test links:

you can also check the site you are connecting to speed:

you can use these pages in order to trouble shoot your network setup (a newbie checklist);

and lastly a link elaborating on all mac network setup parameters:

hope this will help.

thank for answer.

yes i already test on diferent servers, diferent browser (under hackintosh) and diferent days!

there is no problem in WinXp (dual boot). i think this is some kind hsf+ partion problem on mbr, i'll test today to downloand to ntsf-3g drive.
