crazybyte
Hello, i managed to get dual-booting using the "boot-camp" partition of my hackintosh.. I will tell you how to do it yourself: You need to install Leopard in guid scheme, with efi bootloader. You have to make 2 partitions on the target disk... One have to be HFS+ the other FAT When the installation ends, boot your leopard, and install Parallels. Run parallels, and in the first run wizard select to using the Bootcamp partition then insert your windows vista DVD, and install it using parallels. When the installer ends, power off the virtual machine and set the bootloader wait to 10 seg. Then reboot Note 1: If your boot is too fast and prevents you from choosing your boot partition, then you should edit your com.apple.boot.plist file to wait a little bit before booting. To do so, go in terminal and: -Type "sudo -s" -Type "cd /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/" -Type "pico com.apple.Boot.plist" add (or replace the number if the strings exist) "<key>Timeout</key> <string>8</string>" exit pico by pressing CTRL-X Answer Y to save the file -Type "exit" to exit sudo -Type exit to close the terminal reboot to check In your BIOS change the AHCI mode to IDE // VERY IMPORTANT And press F8 in bootloader. Then select Foregin OS Vista should boot now. When it finishes booting, install the INTEL AHCI drivers. Then reboot and change back the IDE mode to AHCI... Happy Dual-booting!
