Hi,

I think I just screwed up my PC. I can't install Leopard, .and can't run XP! What i did was before installing leopard using the ToH disk, I created a new partition with magic partion 8, and there was also unallocated space. Then I checked my computer with cpu-z ,and it was SSE3. I Inserted the DVD and it loaded. I got this screen, but it was so unclear. I could read a maximum of two words and that also with great difficulty.I think it was the language selection screen, because when I changed the option, the little i could read was in another language in english. I tried to use disk utility but couldn't understand anything there either. Now my PC is useless, It doesn't launch XP, nor can I install Leopard.

Can anyone help me. I mean can anyone tell me how to fix the graphics, of the screen, or atleast can anyone tell me how I can get XP back. I don't want to reformat my entire hard disk, because in XP, I had alot of data which i could not backup on DVD, like I was making some movies and all the editing data and everything was in there.

By the way I have an Intel P4 2.40 gHZ. The graphic card is built in, like the integrated graphic card. Please help me!! I really am panicked

try booting in safe mode.

-v : verbose mode to see all system messages to see what is loading and what errors u are receiving.

-x : safe GUI mode to disable some trouble drivers and still enables you to boot

-s : safe text mode (like terminal) if -x doesnt work or u need to make some major changes

OK, I somehow installed leopard (though it does not boot without the ToH disk in the DVD Drive) but the screen is the same, very very bad graphics, you can't understand a thing. Will installing EFI fix this graphics problem, I mean what can I do to get good graphics. WIll I need to get kernels or something?

Highly suggested: Download and burn to cd "Paragon Partition Manager Professional" It has a (Boot Corrector Option in the drop down menu at top of it's screen (btw this program would not boot up on my laptop pc's as the drives are not supported...) and it is invaluable when using these OSX86 packages as it will fix any boot problems You have (granted You don't delete Your Windows Partition while messing with these osx86 packages...) It works and works the best!

I have tried many of the osx86 packages on both my desktop pc (Alienware 7500/ Area 51) And only got iATKOS 5i to fully work ONCE, I had everything working, but that was before i found out about EasyBCD (Which lets You couple the boot loader to boot into OSX (86), and linux amongst others) And Paragon Partition Manager Boot Corrector options (Which fix Your Windows OS to boot correctly again) so i reinstalled Vista and tried since to get it to work again and again to no avail (Maybe this is due to my new SLI 2GB x2 DDR2 Memory Modules I am not sure... I also tried iATKOS v7 (Which says that You can install drivers from this to most others but after following directions with it to do so, IT DID NOT WORK. I installed osx86 with ToH's package on my Dell Studio 1737 Laptop (it booted BUT ONLY when ToH DVD Is in the drive, before it boots from DVD I EJECT the disc and (sometimes it boots, sometimes i must try this 2-3 times before it boots from Hard Drive), but no internet drivers and no audio drivers not ANY Drivers for it! I followed iATKOS v7 instructions exactly and installed wireless drivers from that package, rebooted into ToH's package and they did not take effect...? Am I missing something? My laptop (in windows) uses "Intel 5100 wifi link" driver is there one available for mac? is there a compatible wifi driver available? sound drivers for realtek for mac? If so PLEASE Let Me Know, Thanks!

Packages tried:

iATKOS v5i ...... SUCCESS on AlienWare 7500/ Area 51 (One time EVERYTHING WORKED Even updates), never again since installing new ram modules...

iATKOS v7 ....... FAILURE on above and on DELL STUDIO 1737 Laptop

iDenib V1.3 ...... FAILURE (Total Failure it wouldn't even boot up)

AMD ONLY ....... FAILURE (Total failure on AMD 1.4GHZ Machine)

ToH ................ SUCCESS On Dell Studio 1737 Laptop (Just no net, sound or display drivers... so not much use till i can get those, special wifi driver!)

MAC OSX Tiger Install DVD ... FAILURE Would not install over my Leopard OSX Installation because it was MBR not GPT If i was to reformat as GPT it would work...

NEED Drivers for DELL STUDIO 1737 (Wifi, sound, display) As I am sure MANY Need drivers for their system as well. I Appreciate the help,

Thanks!

Also try reloading ToH package reformat your Leopard partition, then reinstall while in ToH package again, just know even if it does work with ToH You dont have net, sound nor editable display gfx drivers, just default display driver is all... any way good luck!

P.S. make sure You select English this time...
