vinthehomiegnig
Hey, i have a HP compaq C700 laptop with 1gb RAM and integrated graphics i think. I ran cpu-z and it said it supported sse3 and stuff. So basically im using the iAtkos v2.0i to install leopard. I used partition magic to create a fat32 partition off my windows xp installation (about 25gb). I then inserted the disk and loaded up. When i hit a key on the darwin something it brings me to a screen with the apple logo and then quickly this messege pops up saying "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart Button" and below it in other languages. I notice in the background however the very first line says panic(cpu 0 caller 0x004314FF): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/Volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu/xnu-1228/iokit/Kernal/10PlatformExpert.cpp:1376 Then some random numbers with x's inbetween Then "Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0 BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Unknown Mac OS version: Not yet set Kernal version: Darwin Kernal Version 9.1.0 Then i cant read the rest because that restart message is right there...Anyone know what the problem is? i am just using everything default on the laptop...including the trackpad. I am also downloading the Kalyway 10.5.2 dvd for intel and amd and will try that out soon. But i would like to figure out whats wrong with atkos.. And also i just want to see how leopard is because thinking about switching over to the mac side and might get a macbook pro for college. Thanks! vinthehomiegnig
Ok Kalyway works fine and actually starting installing except in got an error in the middle of it saying The installer could not install some files in "/Volumes/Leopard". Click restart to restart your computer and try installing again. Now what? I just burned the kalyway dvd directly to dvd. dunno what that is... unkoil
I ran into the same error... from there reboot off the DVD and the partition you were trying to install on.. you have to go to disk ultility and format it it to an apple format.... from there you can properly install the kalyway dvd.
