roybotnik
Hi everyone, I just built a cheap new comp to run OSX on, and everything is working great aside from not being able to run PPC apps. I installed using the JaS4.2b patched ISO, and I am under the impression that it installs an SSE3 emulator and whatnot by default even if it is not needed. The CPU I'm using is a Celeron D 331, which has NX bit, SSE3, and all that good stuff, so there is no real need for all of the kernel patches that the JaS4.2b patched ISO comes with. I downloaded Maxxuss's 10.4.3 kernel patch package and simply overwrote the kernel I had with the mach_kernel.orig in the package. Everything still works fine, but I can't run PPC apps anymore. Is there something I have to do to make rosetta work right, even if I'm running an SSE3 cpu? Thanks.
