stevescotia
Just wanted to make people aware of the above software for those (everyone?) that wants to back up their system once they have it working so that they can try out updates etc without worrying too much about wrecking their setup. It's basically a ghost/true image type imaging system. It boots from CD so you don't need a working OSX installation to restore from. It's currently in free public testing in beta form so a bit rough around the edges but I've already used it lots of times to restore to a working environment without a problem. I've not used it under loads of scenarios though, and I'm just getting started with OSx86 so one thing I'm not 100% sure on is whether EFI is backed up as well. It's possible you would have to restore that if you totally erase your disk/partition. Still, it's only software I'm aware of that will cold-image and understands OSX file systems (thereby not requiring sector-by-sector approach of True Image and keeping image size down). Did a search and didn't see any mention of it so thought folks may be intersted. Currently available on downloads page of Paragon Software website.
