Jeva Hose Posted February 28, 2006 Share Posted February 28, 2006 I have successfully installed 10.4.4 and upgraded to 10.4.5 on a seperate hard drive rather than my main 10.4.3 disk. I have decided the benefits of 10.4.5 are worth upgrade, so I would like to upgrade my existing 10.4.3 installation. Is this possible? I tried using the modified 10.4.4 OSInstall.mpkg from my 10.4.5 hard drive to install on my 10.4.3 hard drive (whew) but it said OS X could not start from that volume, even though I did this exact thing originally from my 10.4.3 drive to the new 10.4.4 drive. Okay, I think I'm confusing myself to I will restate: Is it possible with unmodified 10.4.4 restore disc image (other than Maxxuss' changes) to upgrade a 10.4.3 installation to 10.4.4 so I can preserve my existing settings, users, apps, etc?
