NTL1991
Hello, I'm trying to install the Kalyway 10.5.1 but when I insert the DVD into my ThinkPad T41 and boot up with it, the Darwin loader comes up, all the files load, and then the drivers start to load. Well, after about 3 minutes of that, It would get to a line like AppleIntel8254XEthernet.kext and it said something like Disconnected or whatever and the boot process stopped completely. I would be able to type at the bottom, but that did nothing. (I don't use Ethernet, so I disabled it in my BIOS). Now the boot process would get as far as NTFS Partition named Local Disk Version 3.1. and NTFS Partition named Mac Version 3.1 or something to that effect, and then the boot process would stop just like before. I tried starting in -v mode and in -X Safe Mode, but the same thing keeps happening. When it gets to that point in the boot process, there is no HD activity and the DVD drive stops reading... What could this be? Thanks, Nick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/104440-osx86-darwin-boot-freezes-at-hd-recognition/ Share on other sites
