Choppy/stuttering sound solved

Hi everyone.

After trying for awhile, I've got sound working in my Sigmatel 9205.

At first, I used Taruga patcher v.1.18 and the attached codec dump.

However, sound was choppy, only working normally when I moved the mouse.

After looking around for a while, I added idelhalt=0 to my com.apple.Boot.plist, and that solved the problem.

 

My setup:

Dell Inspiron 1521

Processor Name: AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56

Processor Speed: 1.8 GHz

Graphics card: ATI Radeon x1270 (Vendor ID 1002,Device ID 79F1) (Not working, just VESA)

Sound: Sigmatel 9205

 

Cons: The CPU fan seems to be working always now.

If someone knows someway to solve this issue without using idlehalt=0, I'd be pleased to know!
