Hello People,

know i think it is Time for me to write my own How To for an Asus G2s

For all People who want to install Leopard.

So Lets start.

Prequels:

Get Leo4allV3 DVD image

Get EasyBCD

Have an Vista install DVD ready (to repair MBR)

Backup your Data (if you want to try a dual boot with vista)

For dual booting you need an second partition (use gparted live cd ore your faforite partition programm)

Download some kext to an USB stick ore on an second hard drive

  1. NVInstallerV.41 from NVInstallerV.41
  2. AttansicL1 driver attansic L1
  3. Get the patched Bios, flash it like any other Asus Bios. I think it is the only good and stable way to get an smooth running Leopard with two cores.
    G2S moded Bios ver. 300
Special Thanks to Kably he is the man for Bios patching :D

Now when you have all things together, reboot your computer

  1. When your BIOS is pached boot the Leo4allV3 and install it, the only thing you have to select is the Intel ATA (ICH8) driver
  2. After installation you could probably boot direct into your Leopard.
  3. Install the AttansicL1 driver
    unpack it
    sudo su -
    cp -r AttansicL1Ethernet.kext /System/Library/Extensions/
    chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/System/Library/Extensions/
    chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/System/Library/Extensions/
    rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
    rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.*
  4. Install the NVInstallerV.41 just double click on it
  5. Reboot, know you should have an Leopard with LAN,and full graphics support
  6. Sound download AzaliaAudio
  7. ACPI and Battery Symbol follow this guide
  8. For Better USB drive detection use this guide

So thats it you have an full working Leopart :hysterical: except off, W-Lan,e-sata,oled display and your webcam

For dual Booting you can now repair with you vista dvd your mbr, then use the EasyBCD to setup the dual booting.

Thats it

Hi Nikor.

I did it yesterday... Now I have Leo installed in my g2s... but I just can´t boot up Leo! :) I had XP and Vista in 2 different partitions, a partition for Leo and another partition to my files. How can I set up the boot?

thank you very much.

Thank you very much for this guide :)

I will try it next week , after i download Leo4allV3 , and came back here to tell what happens to me

One question , because i´m a noob in this "topic" to install leopard on a pc... :P

I already have a partition with Windows XP and i will install leopard on another partition.

Can you give me a hint or a clue to mantain the windows and install the leo ?

(or any other recommendation after or before the install etc ???? or point some place that tells me some info about that ?)

Again...thanx a lot

I´m installed and follow your instructions...

Leopard is working !

Sound and Video drivers are ok !

But i cant install the AttansicL1 driver

I do not know if i´m doing something wrong...

But i tried your code..and nothing... are you sure that code are correct ?

unpack it

sudo su -

cp -r AttansicL1Ethernet.kext /System/Library/Extensions/

chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/System/Library/Extensions/

chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/System/Library/Extensions/

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.*

I upack the .kext to /System/Library/Extensions/ ...

Ok, I've patched my BIOS, but now when I try to boot de DVD, Darwing report me that error: error parsing plist fileloading Darwin/x86

Hey, one more question, I've downloaded leo4allv3 from a torrent, is it possible that the Image I've downloaded is for AMD processors only? Or leo4all is always for intel?

Thx a lot!

Would the process be fairly similar for all laptops? I have a dv6700t with vista 64 on it. I was hoping to try to install leopard along side vista. When I talked to other people, they said that my only option was to run mac os x using an emulator called PearPC. Would I have to use pearpc? Or could I fully install it alongside vista. Here is the link to my original thread.

Thanks :D

I try to answer sorry was in vacation :-)

First it is possible to dual boot vista and osx pearpc is an powerpc emulator you don't need it because you want to run x86/OSX.

Second, yes it is important if you have en explicit AMD/OSX Version because the kernels are a little bit different. But as far as I could see leo4all is for both intel and amd

Please can you answer me now? I have exactly the same laptop as you, an ASUS G2S, but everytime I've tryed to install LEO has failed. The DVD boots, and begins to charge...but there is a moment in which the PC reboots itself and begans again and again... I don't know what to do... Do you have any Idea on how can i fix this problem...? I want LEO!!! xD

Thx!!
