I have xp on my pc and im on a similar situation as this topic http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=103577

Now i did not want to hung on someone ealse topic thats why y started my own .

Anyway , pc runs on xp pro and this is the very first time im installing jass 10.4.8 dvd,

i would like to be able to boot both OS,s so i read allot before installing ,and im a bit confused about it, since there are many options.

I have only one HD and would prefer not to format the whole thing since i got allot of info i cant really back up, so i thougt about rezising the HD with acronis partition manager then install jass dvd, and then use chain0 to be able to boot both OS,s.

Can it be that simple?

thanks for your help.

Yep, though installing EasyBCD on XP would be easier.

Just make sure you do your partitioning properly (the mac partition has to be primary and has to be active, then from disk utility convert it to Mac Journalled)

And you should be on your way ;)

everything look ok, i did partition my HD ,installed jas os, but after i reboot i get stuck on the apple logo, nothing happens, i can acces xp by rebooting and pressing f8, did i did something wrong with the installation, i believe i did everything right. Any help would be apreciated.

EDIT, guess i will have to press f8 and -v to see where it hangs, untill then i guess ill have to wait.
