OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND

Hi,

 

im new in this os x86 thing, so please if you tell me something explain with details, it would realy help me.

 

i installed osx 86 leopard with the ToH version. i didnt have any problem during the installation. now, everytime i try to boot, i have an error saying "operating system not found". when i put the dvd in before it boots. it boots perfectly without any problem, after 8seconds of loading.

 

before i installed leopard, i had windows vista already installed on the same HDD, in another partition. so... i realy wanna be able to run osx WITHOUT the dvd, AND be able to dual boot with vista.

 

im runing it on a HP pavilion dv6000.

 

please someone help i would really appreciate. im new in this, i installed it before yesterday and im loving osx, i wanna keep it, and i dont wanna loose what i have on my vista... so please help.

 

by the way... my sound isnt working, not even my ethernet, only wifi, so if someone can give me a link or something, for a patch or what ever i can use to repare this, i realy dont know nothing about it so please help

Well to start off, the OS not found is due to the bootloader not being found. Can you boot into Vista? I don't know how to fix this without a working install.

 

Look in you're device manager in windows to see what hardware you have for sound (probably use taurga) and other not working stuff. This forum and google will be your friend.

No i cant boot into vista, i repared my sound using AzaliaAudio.pkg (see attached file), thnx. i cant boot from anything without my osx86 DVD... im trying reparing the vista boot now... and i dont know maybe ill try dual boot softwares... maybe it will work... if you have another suggestion, ill apreciaite... thank you

should i realy reinstall both of them ?... and how should i do it to be able to dual boot vista and leopard ?... should i install another version of leopard.... ikatos or whatever ? which one would be the best for my HP pavilion DV6000 ? thx

As a newby osx86 user I had this prob on my vista/osx install . it seems on my Kalyway leopard install it writes a boot onto the osx partition. however by entering the bio's at startup I changed the boot disk to the new partition which gives a choice of 1 vista or 2 osx.
