I am having a heck of a time installing Leopard on my DV8110US. Grrr...I am running the PCWIZ vmware install right now and I am happy because it's closer to Intel Mac than I've ever been. I currently own a iMac G4 flat panel, which speaks for itself  .

Anyhow, the VMWare system is a little laggy (but not annoyingly so) and I am missing some of the support I see you native installers are experiencing such as USB and sound (iPhoto and iTunes would be nice). I do want the most authentic experience possible on this machine though. I've tried the vmware to native install and messed up my XP partition upon restart because of a invalid partition table. Don't really want to risk it again but I would if I thought it could be successful and if there was a marked difference in performance. Is there a noticeable performance difference in the VMWare install versus Native for most of you?

Thanks. I guess I have to wait for this Zephyroth to finish downloading and use it as my last ditch effort. It's the only distro I haven't tried yet because this torrent is painfully slow (averages 75 kbs and I get above 1 Mbps download speeds on most other torrents). I've looked for it on newsgroups but can't find it. Oh well. I guess by the time I start my night shift it'll be ready to try. ;)
